Tigers (12-32, 2-14): Tennessee State snapped an 11 game OVC losing streak with a 3-2 win at Austin Peay on Wednesday. The Tigers jumped out to an early lead and added a late insurance run to secure thw victory. The Tigers are still mathematically alive for a spot in the OVC tournament, but will need to win their final six conference games and get some help. TSU will host Southeast Missouri for a doubleheader at Tiger Field on Saturday before welcoming UT Martin on Sunday for Senior Day. Both days begin at 1:00 p.m.

SEMO freshman Rachel Anderson was named as a finalist to the Schutt Sports/NFCA National of the Year Award. Anderson tops the Redhawks in hits (55), average (.410), doubles (10), triples (7), home runs (5), RBI (30) and slugging percentage (.701). Mykaela Arellanes is key on the base paths leading the team with 32 runs scored and 15 base swipes, while hitting .333 with eight doubles, three triples and three dingers. Madeline Krumrey is 11-8 with a 2.67 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 118.0 innings.
