2017 Tigers: Tennessee State dropped all four games at the Blues City Classic in Memphis a week ago. The Tigers will enter the weekend looking to snap a six game losing streak as they continue on their 12-game road trip in Oxford, Ala. Senior Danica Gleason and freshman Patton Akers lead the team with a .333 batting average. Gleason tops the Tigers with 16 hits, 10 runs scored, a triple, nine RBI and is tied with Whitney Ennis and Megan Huppee with one home run. The Tigers are ranked 12th in Division I with 2.3 stolen bases per game as they have swiped 40 bases in 44 attempts. Senior Courtney Gearlds and freshman Selena Crafton leads the Tigers with 10 swipes a piece.

AAMU will enter with Caitlyn Hayden sitting at 3-5 with a 2.46 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 54.0 innings of work. Tamia Lee-Barbadillo tops the Bulldogs hitting at a .412 clip. Ariel Smith has provided the pop with two home runs and 10 RBI, while batting .273.

Scouting Loyola (14-1)

The Ramblers are batting .298 as a team and averaging six runs a game. Alyssa Mannucci leads the team batting .351 and has totaled 12 walks for a .510 on base percentage. Mannucci has four doubles, six runs and is tied for second on the team with 11 RBI. Katie Kasubke has provided the power with five doubles, three dingers and 17 RBI, while batting .348 with 11 runs scored. Sam Stewart has been a standout through the first nine games this season. Stewart has belted four home runs, along with four doubles, in her 11 hits, which is good for a .458 average. Stewart has produced, scoring 11 runs and driving in 14, both team highs. Ashlyn Montgomery leads the Valpo pitching staff with a 3-1 record and a 2.03 earned run average, while Mackenzie Grossmann is 2-2 with three saves.

Samford relies on Shelby Maze and Madison Couch to set the table for the offense. Maze is batting .459 (34-for-74) with 14 runs scored, while Couch is hitting .326 (22-for-67) with 15 runs. The Bulldogs then look to Abby Sweeney (.286), Abbie Miranda (.276), and Hannah Trombley (.232) to drive in runners as they have totaled nine, 13 and 15 RBIs, respectively.
