CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. --- Tennessee State was held to three hits and Austin Peay scored two runs in the fourth inning and added another in the fifth on the way to defeating the Tigers 3-0 in Ohio Valley Conference softball play Sunday afternoon. The Tigers were held scoreless for the second time in the three-game series. TSU had runners on second and third with one out in the fifth inning, but APSU starter Natasha Anderson recorded a strikeout and Hollie Sanders line drive to center field was run down by the APSU outfielder. Sanders, Amanda Buhler, and Ebon Jones accounted for TSU's three hits. TSU starter Kristina Blair allowed four hits through four innings to take the loss. TSU hosts Trevecca Thursday and resumes OVC play with a three-game home series this weekend against Eastern Kentucky.
