NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State committed a pair of costly first inning errors to dig an early hole on the way to losing a 9-1 Ohio Valley Conference game against visiting Southeast Missouri Saturday afternoon. The teams were scheduled to play a 1 p.m. doubleheader, but switched to a 2:30 single game due to earlier rain. The teams now play a doubleheader on Sunday with a noon start. Megan McDonald's bases loaded triple was the big hit in the opening inning for Southeast Missouri. Michelle Summers hit a three-run homeer in a four-run sixth. Kristina Blair tossed the first five innings for TSU, allowing three earned runs, Blair had a one-out single in the second inning. The Tigers avoided the shutout in the sixth inning when Leena Worrell's two-out double to right field scored Heather Ebersole. The Redhawks' Amy Fahenstock tossed the two-hitter and ran her record to 9-5 on the season.
