NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State junior pitcher Kristina Blair has been honored as Ohio Valley Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance in two games last week in Florida on the team's spring break trip. Blair did not allow an earned run last week. She recorded 18 strikeouts in 15 innings work and allowed just seven hits, all singles. The only run given up by Blair came in the ninth inning of a 1-0 loss to Mid-American Conference member Toledo. A runner was placed at second base, according to international tie-break rules. Earlier in the week, Blair tossed a three-hit shutout in a 5-0 victory over Sacred Heart. Blair is a 6-0 right-hander from Petaluma, Cal. She transferred to TSU from Texas Tech University.
