KISSIMMEE, Fla. --- Tennessee State lost its final two games in the Rebel Games on Thursday as the Tigers dropped a 7-4 decision to Fairfield and followed with a 1-0 defeat to Toledo in nine innings. In the opener, TSU had carried a 4-2 lead into the fourth inning based on second inning home runs by Hollie Sanders, a solo home run, and later a three-run shot by freshman Jessica Sesson. Fairfield bounced back to tie the game with two runs in the fourth and took the lead in the fifth. A two-run homer in the seventh added insurance for the Stags. In the nightcap, TSU's Kristina Blair allowed only two hits into the nith inning. Playing under tie-breaker rules where the runner was placed at second, the Rockets posted back-to-back hits to notch the win and spoil the effort by Blair. TSU (2-12) concludes play in the event which draws collegiate teams from across the nation. The Tigers will play a doubleheader at Mississippi Valley State on Tuesday.
