HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--- Tennessee State got an early start to the 2005 softball season Saturday as the Lady Tigers saw Alabama A&M score two runs in the final inning of the first game in the seventh inning for a 3-2 victory. However, the Tigers bounced back for a 9-5 win in the nightcap. TSU had carried a 2-1 lead into the final inning, but the winning run proved to be unearned. Starter Tarah Evanisko allowed two hits over the first three innings for TSU. Third baseman Lenna Worrell was 2-for-3 with two RBI. The Tigers pounded out 13 hits in the second game. Catcher Jessica Session was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Worrell also had three hits. TSU is scheduled to host Quincy (weather permitting) Sunday at noon.
