NASHVILLE --- Shannon Hicks two-out, two-run double in the sixth inning and Tarah Evanisko's shutout pitching led the way to Tennessee State's 2-0 softball victory over visiting Austin Peay Thursday evening. Evanisko picked up her first shutout of the year, scattering six hits in improving to 3-9. The Tigers had dropped a pair of decisions to APSU last Friday in Clarksville. Melissa Toftt doubled after two outs and Catriona Smith followed with a walk. Hicks then delivered the first pitch from Lydia Money to the left center field fence.
