COOKEVILLE --- Miscues led to an early deficit in Tennessee State's 7-1 loss to Ohio Valley Conference softball leader Tennessee Tech in a game played Wednesday night. The Tigers committed five errors in the game. TSU spotted Tech three runs in the second inning without benefit of a RBI. Tech had two double steals in the inning to account for two of the runs. TSU cut the lead to 3-1 in the fifth inning. DeAundrea Miller singled with Kristy Kittell on second base with two outs. Kittell advanced to third and scored on an error by the right fielder. Tech broke the game open with four runs scoring in the sixth inning, thanks to three hits. TSU finished the game with six hits with Minor and Shannon Hicks having two hits each. Tech managed seven hits off three TSU hurlers. The Tigers will travel to Austin Peay for a Good Friday doubleheader against the Lady Govs beginning at 1 p.m.
