NASHVILLE --- Costly errors again proved to be the difference for the Tennessee State softball team as the Tigers dropped a 3-1 decision Sunday afternoon to conclude a pitching-dominated series. The teams combined for just five hits on Sunday, but two unearned runs in the third inning and the pitching of Kristen Becker was the difference in EIU taking the rubber game. Becker won for the second time in the series and limited TSU to just two hits on Sunday after tossing four-hitter on Saturday. Kari Haggerty had a RBI single in the third and Becker helped her own cause with a run-scoring double in the fourth inning. TSU committed all three errors in the third inning. TSU committed five errors in the opening 4-1 loss of the series and played errorless ball in Saturday's 2-1 second game victory. The Tigers scored their lone run Sunday on a RBI single by Angela Huebner in the sixth inning. TSU falls to 8-25 and 4-10 in the Ohio Valley Conference. EIU improves to 8-24 and 3-7.
