The Aristokat needs your vote in this year?s OVC Mascot Challenge

Tennessee State University’s Aristokat is going to battle it out again this year in the annual OVC Mascot Challenge presented by Delta Dental of Tennessee. The twelve OVC mascots will compete in a head-to-head rivalry for the championship title of “Best Mascot in the Ohio Valley Conference,” during the week of Feb.21 – March 6, 2014. Fans can go online and vote for Aristokat as their favorite mascot. The winner will be announced on March 7 at the OVC Tournament in Nashville.

Last year, thousands of fans, students, faculty and alumni submitted their votes, and the competition was incredibly close. Murray State’s Dunker clinched the gold only by a small margin of votes over Awesome Eagle of Tennessee Tech. Tennessee State fans are encouraged to vote every day of the contest to ensure that the crown will belong to TSU’s Aristokat at the end of this year’s battle.

The winning mascot will earn bragging rights for a year, and their school will also receive $1,000 towards their general scholarship fund. So vote, and vote again!  Fans can vote once a day at

Polls will open at 12:01 a.m. on Feb. 21 and will close at 12 p.m. on March 6, 2014.
