NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State University student-athletes took time off from their busy schedules to participate in reading to elementary school students on "Dr. Suess Day." The Lady Tiger and Tiger athletes went to Glenn Enhanced Option Elementary School. The athletes read to different classes located at the school on Cleveland Street. "This is a is great program and our student-athletes are happy to participate in this program" said Valencia Jordan, TSU Senior Woman Administrator. "Our athletes look forward to reading to the elementary school students throughout the year." "Dr. Suess Day" is one of several community projects for TSU student-athletes. The Lady Tigers and Tigers participate in other endeavors during the course of the year.
