Willingham Leads Flying Tigers on Day Two of Green and Gold Invite

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- Michael Willingham Jr. led the Flying Tigers on day two of the UAB Green and Gold Invite winning the top spot in the shot put over nine competitors. The junior from Stone Mountain, Georgia, recorded a 14.78m toss, marking his personal best. 

Willingham was just one-of-three to place in the top five of their respecitive events. R'Lazon Brumfield finished second in the long jump, leaping 7.27m. While on the track, junior Christian Williams made it to the 60-meter hurdle finals, finishing fourth with a time of 8.47.

The men's track and field team have a short break before returning to action at the Samford Invite, back in Birmingham, Feb. 14-15.
