COLUMBIA, S.C. --- Action at the Weems Baskin Invitational in Columbia, S.C. wrapped up on Saturday for the Tennessee State men’s track and field team.

  • In the field events, R’Lazon Brumfield secured fifth in the triple jump invitational division thanks to a mark of 14.47m (47’5.75”)
  • Michael Willingham Jr.’s discus toss of 45.28m (148’6”) was good enough for second in the open division.
  • On the track, Thomas Mosley won the open 800m in 1:54.05.
  • Isaiah Olige and Jemarruse Amos continued to impress in the hurdles. Olige placed eighth in the 400m hurdles in 53.47. Amos trimmed time off his 110m hurdles performance last week, clocking in at 14.57 on Saturday.
  • Next up is the Austin Peay Invitational in Clarksville, Tenn. on April 13-14.
