Men's Track Kicks Off Action at Samford

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – With most of the action set for Saturday, the Tennessee State men’s track and field team competed in the weight throw and the 200m on Friday at the CrossPlex as part of the Samford Open.  

Roc-M Nesbitt (Atlanta, Ga.) placed ninth in the weight throw with a distance of 13.98m (45’20.5”) on his fourth attempt. The distance is a new personal record for Nesbitt, breaking his previous best of 13.92m from this year’s Commodore Invitational.

In the 200m Jerome Henderson III (Clarksville, Tenn.) finished in 22.31, followed closely by Quamel Prince (Nashville, Tenn.) in 22.32.
