Dameus Shines in Gladstein Pentathlon

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Three Tigerbelles participated in the Pentathlon in Saturday’s Gladstein Invitational and Clairwin Dameus finished as the top collegiate athlete.

Dameus came in second overall with 3,685 points while teammates Ja’Lyn Burr (3,063) and Felicia Oladakun placed fifth and 10th, respectively.

Dameus won both the 60 meter hurdles (8.67 seconds) and long jump (5.99m) while completing the 800 meter run in second (2:29.89).

The 3,685 total points amassed by the junior are the most in the OVC and the 23rd most in the country this season.

The Tigerbelles and Flying Tigers will host their first meet of the year on Feb. 1 for the Ed Temple Classic.
