Flying Tigers Continue to Improve at War Eagle Invitational

Beal Bounces Back, Moore and Rideout Improve

Auburn, Ala. – The Tennessee State University Flying Tigers finished the War Eagle Invitational hosted by Auburn University improving in several events on Saturday (4/18) at Hutsell-Rosen Track.

After sitting out last week due to injury, junior Darreal Beal jumped a season best, 23'05.25", in the long jump for a fifth place (fourth collegiately) overall finish. 

On the track, Freshmen Nathaniel Moore and Michael Rideout ran their fastest times on the season in the open 400-meter dash to finish back-to-back in the event. Moore ran a 48.54 for the ninth spot and Rideout followed behind at 48.62 for tenth overall.

In the triple jump, freshman Adrien Hill improved his best jump on the season by more than three feet posting a mark of 46'10.25".

Next, the Tigers will travel to Bowling Green, Ky. to compete in the WKU Invitational hosted by Western Kentucky on Saturday, April 25th.
