Beal and Britt Runner-ups in the Jumps

Charleston, Ill. – The Flying Tigers ended the Ohio Valley Conference Track and Field Indoor Championship with a fourth place finsh in the team standings. Eastern Illinois garnered the 2009 title with 199 points followed by Southeast Missouri (140) and Eastern Kentucky (105).

Darreal Beal and Trenton Britt finished in second place with their individual efforts in the jump events. Beal jumped a career best in the long jump for the runner-up spot with a mark of 24'00.75".

Britt took second place after entering the meet with the best triple jump mark in the OVC. He finished with a jump of 46'04.00". Xavier Walton finished behind Britt in third place with a mark of 45'05.25".

The 1600-meter relay team of Michael Rideout, Franz Holmes, Isaiah Marshall and Nathaniel Moore took third in the event with a time of 3:23.40.
