MARTIN, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State University Tigerbelles finished in seventh place (168) in the 5K 11 team field UT-Martin Cross Country Meet, behind winner Arkansas State University, who grabbed the victory with 68 points, led by first-place winner Emrey McKay (18:31). Tigerbelle Rae'ven Richards clocked her best time of the season with a 15th place (20:24) finish. Other Tigerbelles competitors were Felicia Jeffers #31 (21:23), Rebekah Robinson #37 (22:06), Tierra Boyd # 40 (22:07), and Sharay Stanton #45 (22:35). The University of Mississippi #2 (74), #3 Union University (86),#4 Tennessee Tech (102), #5 North Alabama (107), #6 Tennessee-Martin (144). The meet also included OVC members Austin Peay (196), and Murray State (198). "We improved our times, and that is pleasing. The young ladies ran well and hard. This meet provided us with good competition which will better prepare us for our next meet at UT-Chattanooga. We then go to our OVC Championships, back at Martin, Tenn. on Oct 30th," said Coach Chandra Cheeseborough.
