MARTIN, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State University Flying Tiger's placed eighth in the UT-Martin 13 team Cross Country Meet over the weekend. The University of Mississippi took first place with a team total of 41 points. Arkansas State University's Seth Bortey took individual honors with a 25:49 8K course time. Kyle Lewis (26:36) and Justin Jernigan (26:40) of UM took the second and third place spots, respectively. TSU, who finished eighth with 234 points, followed #2 Arkansas State (51), #3 North Alabama (88), #4 Union University (98), #5 Tennessee Tech (99), #6 Austin Peay (148), #7 Tennessee-Martin (181). The top Tigers included #36 Evans Wimberly (29:29), #53 Mark Lollis (30:53, #61 Joshua Love (31:59), #64 Daniel Rounds (32:52) and #72 Pat Robinson (35:19). The Flying Tigers will run in the UT-Chattanooga Meet this weekend. They end the season on October 30th at the OVC Championship in Martin, Tenn.
