ATLANTA --- The Tennessee State University Cross Country Tigerbelles grabbed their second straight cross country meet win of the fall season last Saturday at the 5K Oglethorpe University Invitational Meet. The Tigerbelles tallied with 31 points, finishing ahead of second-place Georgia College (46) and eight other teams. The Tigerbelles had entered the meet coming off a dual match victory the previous week at Murray State. Junior Rae'ven Richard captured honors for first place with a time of 21:50. The improving Tigerbelles had Naquanza Alfred place third (22:41), Felicia Jeffers seventh (23:21, Tarra Wallace eighth (23:26), Rebekah Robinson 13th (23:41). TSU and Georgia College came in ahead third-place LaGrange (122),and fourth-place Toccoa Falls (160). "We ran well for only our second morning meet by starting aggressively we maintained the pace and competed to the end for our second straight win," said assistant coach Warren "Rock" Wilson. "We adapted well on this course, and we must keep the pace until our next meet which will continue to strengthen us for the OVC meet at the end of the season." The Tigerbelles will compete in the UT Martin Meet on Oct. 9.
