MURRAY, Ky. --- The Tennessee State Tigerbelle cross country team captured a cross country meet win over Ohio Valley Conference opponent Murray State last weekend. The Tigerbelles slipped past the host Lady Racers, 27-32. Tigerbelle Rae'ven Richard covered the 2-mile course with a time of 13:31, for a third-place finish behind Murray State's Lindsey Nealy 12:53, and Megan Rainville, who clocked the course with a time of 13:16. The victory was the Tigerbelle's first OVC win in three outing this fall. Other Tigerbelle finishers included Naquanza Alfred in fourth place (13:35), Felicia Jeffers in fifth (13:45), Tierra Boyd in sixth (14:09), Rebekah Robinson in seventh (14:24), Tara Wallace in eighth (14:26, and Sharay Staton in ninth (15:53). The next meet will be Saturday, Oct. 9 at Tennessee-Martin.
