The Tennessee State University men's cross country team had a tough go on its opening weekend of competition. The Tigers finished ninth at the Belmont Invitational on Sept. 5. The top Tiger finisher was Joshua Love who came in at No. 89 with a time of 18:33.63. He was followed by Eric Stansberry in 90th-place with a time of 18:34.00. TSU rounded out the field, grabbing places 95-100 (in order- Riley Walker, 20:04.09; Patrick Robinson, 20:04.59; Brandon Ballard, 21:36.25; Franklin Rivers, 21:47.29; Quincy Wilkins, 21:56.41; and Ivra Warren, 23:51.36). The Tigers return to action on Sept. 13 as they compete in the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic.
