NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State head coach Chandra Cheeseborough has announced the addition of seven athletes to join her Tigerbelles track program for the 2003-04 season. ?I am excited about the young ladies that we have coming in this fall,? said Cheeseborough. ?We feel we have met our needs and I expect all of them to make solid contributions to our program in the coming years.? The high school athletes who will be joining the Tigerbelles thus far are Kamitra Carroll (Flint, Mich.) throws, Cassandra Wright (Memphis Hamilton) hurdles/sprints, Joycelyn Gardiner (Port Arthur, Texas), sprints, Latoria Swindell (Nashville Maplewood), throws, Mariele Hill (Florrissant, Mo.) long jump/sprints, Lateria Lewis (Jacksonville, Fla.) throws, and Camille Matthews (Chattanooga Howard), throws. The incoming athletes will be joining a Tigerbelles program that has won consecutive Ohio Valley Conference Indoor titles and won the OVC Outdoor Championship two of the past three years.
