COLUMBUS, Ohio --- The Tennessee State Tigerbelles' 4x400 meter relay team placed eighth overall in the NCAA Mideast Regional over the weekend held at Ohio State University. The Tigerbelles posted a time of 3:44.04 in the event. LSU won the event with a time of 3:36.18 with Tennessee second and Notre Dame taking third place. A total of 19 teams were represented in the event. The 4x100 relay team had a time of 46.07 seconds in its flight. Senior Kenitra Woods had a throw of 46 feet 7.75 inches in the shot put to place fourth in the second flight. Ashley Byrd had a jump of 38-06.75 in the first flight of the triple jump. More than 2,300 athletes were represented at the NCAA Regional. LSU was the winner in the team scoring.
