NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State University and its tradition-rich Tigerbelle track program will be well-represented at this weekend's NCAA Mideast Regional to be held in Columbus, Ohio. TSU Chandra Cheeseborough, who has led the resurgence of the TSU program, will lead her group of athletes to the meet where more than 2,000 athletes will gather. Junior sprinter Leslie Leary will run the 400 meters and a leg on the relay of both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays. Teaming with Leary on the Tigerbelle relay teams will be Monique Demmons, Crystal Ewell, and Mercy Udoji. TSU's 4x400 team has the seventh best time of any of the teams entered in the meet. Also representing TSU in the meet will be Kenitra Woods in the shot put, Ashley Byrd in the triple jump, Valenica Martin in the high jump, and sprinters Jennifer Lawson and Rebekah Robinson. Ohio State University is serving as host for the Mideast Regional.
