COOKEVILLE --- The Tennessee State Tigerbelle cross-country team captured its second event of the fall season by winning the Tennessee Tech Tri-Match over the weekend. The Tigerbelles, who earlier won the Covenant Invitational, captured the fifth through seventh spots, and ninth and 11 position to finish with a total of 38. Austin Peay was second with a 45 and host Tech finished with a 57. Cystal Ewell led TSU with a time of 21 minutes 25.3 seconds on the 5,000-meter Southern Hills Golf Course. Monique Demmons was close behind with a time of 21:28.3 whole Juanita Thomas had a time of 21:42.7 for her seventh place finish. Rae’ven Richards was ninth with a time of 22:03.5 to finish ninth and Kristin Bennett had a time of 22:19.3 to close the Tigerbelles scoring in 11th place. The Tigerbelles will compete in UT Martin’s Invitational this weekend. ###
