NASHVILLE --- More than 400 athletes representing a total of 29 men's and women's track teams are expected to gather Sunday in the Gentry Center Complex for the fourth Edward S. Temple Indoor Track Classic. The meet is expected to attract 15 women's teams and 14 men's team as well as several individual athletes. The meet gets underway at 8 a.m. and will continue throughout the day. ?This will be a showcase for several outstanding athletes and should be a day of great competition,? said TSU women's coach Chandra Cheeseborough, who is the meet's director. ?Our young ladies are looking forward to the event.? The classic is named in honor of Edward S. Temple, the legendary coach of the TSU Tigerbelles and the United State Olympic team. There is no admission charge to attend the Classic.
