Men's Tennis Falls to Tennessee Tech in Midweek Matchup


NASHVILLE--- The Tennessee State men's tennis team fell 7-0 to the leaders of the Ohio Valley Conference, Tennessee Tech, Wednesday afternoon at the Tech Tennis Courts. 

The Tigers bageled at Nos. 2 and 3, dropping the doubles point early on. The sole doubles duo, Juan Rojas Antezana and Maksims Kazijevs grabbed one game before TTU clinched the point, leaving the match on court one unfinished, 5-1.

Tennessee Tech continued its success throughout singles play, allowing a maximum of three games won by a Tiger. Stefan Koruga at No. 2 and Alberto Gonzalez at No. 6 pushed to win at least one game in each of their sets. Rojas Antezana went 6-2 in set one before retiring in set two as TTU's Elias Grubert was up 3-0.

The Tigers round out the regular season against Jacksonville State at Hadley Park, Saturday, April 20 at 9 a.m.
