Former Men’s Tennis Standout Lawrence Washington Named Top 40 Under 40

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State University men’s tennis alum Lawrence Washington was named to the 2017 Top 40 under 40 list for Business Professionals/Executives in the Nation by The Network Journal.

Washington is the Lead Underwriter at Freddie Mac.

He competed on the men’s tennis team at Tennessee State University from 2009-2012. During his stint with the Tigers, he boasted many accolades including Male Athlete of the Year, Team MVP, Political Science Department Highest GPA Award, Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar and ITA Scholar Athlete.

Washington graduated summa cum laude from Tennessee State with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science before receiving his master’s degree from Georgetown University in Real Estate Finance.
