BOWLING GREEN, Ky. --- The Tennessee State men's tennis team (0-3, 0-1 OVC) was unable to come away with the 'W' over the weekend in Kentucky. Despite taking one point on the day, the Tigers were not able to rally and defeat the Hilltoppers, falling 1-6. In singles action, in the top spot junior Jamal Brown (Memphis, Tenn.) picked up the win; Rabinovics, won at the No. 2 spot, over junior La Darrell Collier (Nashville, Tenn.), 6-0, 6-0; at the No. 3 slot, Durham defeated sophomore Vaughn Evans (Washington, D.C.), 6-0, 6-4; Whitmore won at the No. 4 flight over Christopher Nealy, 6-1, 6-1; Merchant defeated Dominique Keys at the No. 5 spot, 6-0, 6-0; and Trey Davis won by default in the No. 6 spot. After the Paipars/Rabinovics win at No. 1 doubles, Whitmore/Merchant defeated Evans/Nealy, 8-0 at the No. 2 spot to win the point, and Durham/Bolton won by default in the No. 3 flight. Tennessee State returns to action at Hadley Park on Saturday, March 27 as it hosts Ohio Valley Conference foe Samford. Action is set to get underway at 1 p.m.
