MURRAY, Ky. --- The Tennessee State men's tennis team was tripped up by Murray State in both programs' Ohio Valley Conference opener. The Racers defeated the Tigers, 7-0. In singles play, Zakaria Bahri won at No. 1 singles over junior Jamaal Brown, 6-0, 6-2, while Adam Maskill won at No. 2 singles over junior Trey Collier, 6-0, 6-0. Masimba Muskwe won at No. 3 singles over sophomore Vaughn Evans, 6-0, 6-0, while Jeff Lester won at No. 4 singles over Chris Neely, 6-0, 6-0, and Craig Jacobs won at No. 5 singles over Dominique Keys, 6-0, 6-0. The Racers also took No. 6 singles by default. In doubles play, Bahri and Muskwe won at No. 1 doubles over Brown and Collier, 8-2, in the eight-game pro set, while Lester and Morgan won at No. 2 doubles over Evans and Neely, 8-0. Maskill and Morgan won at No. 3 doubles by default. Tennessee State returns to action on March 13 as it travels to Bowling Green, Ky. to take on Western Kentucky. Play is set to begin at 10 a.m.
