DICKSON, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State Men’s golf team returned to the links at GreyStone Golf Course for the conclusion of round two, as well as the play of round three. The Tigers had a share of fifth place (3-over) after the first 18 holes of play and was four shots out of the top spot. TSU recorded another solid round in the afternoon (6-over), but fell to eighth place for the tournament.

John Tyminski earned his first top-five finish of the season, the third of his career, after carding a 5-under, 216. The junior finished in a tie for third, three shots behind tournament champion Kyle Slattery of SIUE. Tyminski paced his play with his play on the par-5's, where he shot 6-under, tying him for the best performance on the eight holes.

Drew Owens and Scotty Hudson joined Tyminski in scoring in both rounds for TSU. Owens reached the green in two on the par-5, 17th, and two putted for birdie. On the par-3, 3rd, the senior made a short putt for birdie after using a 7-iron off the tee box from 165 yards out to six feet of the pin.

Mikus Ming posted a 2-under. 70, to score for the Tigers in the second round, while Tyler Woods shot a 2-over, 74, in the final round to mark for the Big Blue.

Next: The Tigers closed out the fall portion of their schedule and will return to play on Mar. 11 as part of the UT Martin hosted Grover Page Classic.
