DICKSON, Tenn. --- Day one of the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate was effected by overnight rains and continued thunderstorms throughout the day. The tournament was delayed at first, before officials dropped the first round making the event 36 holes.

The teams were scheduled to begin play at 1:15, but another cell of heavy rains caused another delay. The golfers finally took to the course at 2:45 p.m. in hopes to play at least nine holes, leaving nine holes to play on Tuesday morning and moving directly into the final round of play.

John Tyminski, Tyler Woods and Mikus Ming all completed 11 holes, while Scotty Hudson and Drew Owens played 12. Tyminski led the way at 3-under, two shots ahead of Ming at 1-under. Owens followed at 2-over with Hudson entering the clubhouse at 4-over and Woods at 7-over.

Tyminski entered the final hole of the day at 4-under but a bogey on the par-4, 15th, brought him back to 3-under with seven holes to play in round two. The junior birdied his first of the day, the par-4, 5th, by hitting a wedge to 20 feet of the flag and sank the putt.

The second round will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning and will be followed immediately by the third round.
