SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State men’s golf team cut a stroke from day one but fell four spots in the standings. The Tigers teamed to shoot a 4-over, 292, on day two of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. Despite falling in the standings, TSU is just eight strokes out of fourth place heading into the final round of the three day tournament.

John Tyminski remained in the top 10 of the individual race with a 2-under, 70, on Monday. Tyminski is in a tie for eighth place at 3-under and is just five strokes behind leader, Tom Forster (-8) of Carson-Newman. The sophomore hit 10-of-14 fairways and found 16 greens.

The Tigers leader after the first day, Scotty Hudson dropped 23 spots in the standings after carding a 4-over, 76, during the second round. Hudson got off to a rough start with a double bogey on his first hole and a bogey one hole later. The junior settled in and shot +1 over the next 16 holes. Hudson hit 9-of-14 fairways, found 11-of-18 greens and used 34 putts on the day.

Senior Jermey Fultz is even with Hudson after 36 holes at 2-over. Fultz shot an Even, 72, and joins Hudson only four strokes back of a top ten finish. Drew Owens and Kody Rendleman both entered the clubhouse at 3-over for the round and joined Tyminski and Fultz in scoring for the Tigers on day two.

The Tigers hit the links at 10:15 a.m. ET on Tuesday for the final day of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. John Tyminski will begin on No. 7, while Scotty Hudson and Jermey Fultz tee off from No. 8. Drew Owens starts his final round at No. 9 and Kody Rendleman begins at No. 10.
