SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State men’s golf team fell a spot during the second round of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate hosted by Tennessee Tech. The Tigers shot a 26-over, 314 and are now 12th heading into the final round of the three day event.
Jermey Fultz and Sam Gatlin fired a 5-over, 77, for the top marks on Monday for TSU. It was the second consecutive day Fultz carded the top score for the Tigers.
Drew Owens and Blake Burgett registered scoring rounds for TSU on day two. Owens fired a 6-over, 78, while Burgett shaved two strokes off his previous round, with a 10-over, 82.
Todd McGill lost two strokes from day one with a 10-over, 82, for a non-scoring round.
The final round is scheduled for a shotgun start on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Sevierville Golf Club’s River Course.
