TSU wraps up fall at F&M Bank Intercollegiate

Nashville, Tenn. - The Tennessee State University's men's golf team will conclude the 2011 fall season at the F&M Bank Intercollegiate, hosted by Austin Peay State University in Hopkinsville, Ky.

The tournament will run from Oct. 17-18, and will consist of 36 holes on Monday, followed by the remaining 18 holes on Tuesday at the par 72, 7,132 Links at Novadell Golf Course. Play will begin Monday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, with Tuesday's final round set to begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

In last year's tournament, Ohio Valley Conference member Jacksonville State won the title with a score of 822, while the Tigers finished 14th overall.

TSU will square off with 15 other teams, including seven from the OVC: Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, SIU Edwardsville, Tennessee Tech and UT-Martin. Belmont, Binghamton, Lipscomb, Samford, South Dakota, Troy, Western Illinois, and Wright State are also set to compete.

Two weeks ago at the Murray State Invitational, the Tigers placed 6th overall by shooting a total score of 302 (+24).

Junior Cameron Scitern led TSU with an eighth overall finish, with a score of 215 (73-72-70). Sophomore Andrew Warner shot rounds of 73-77-68 (218) to finish 15th. Dallas Hill carded a score of 221 (79-69-73) and James Stepp finished the scoring for TSU with scores of 77-78-75 (230).
