In a field of 12 teams, Tennessee State shot an 85-over par 949 (326-310-313) overall. The Tigers were led by senior Chris Seibel's 15-over par 231. He finished tied for 25th, shooting a 77 in the opening round while carding a 75 and 79 in rounds two and three.
Junior Richard Gill notched a 34th place finish and shot an 18-over par 234 (83-79-72). Freshman Cameron Scitern registered a 242 (83-78-81) for the tournament while junior Ryan Smith and sophomore Dorian Vauls carded 243 (83-79-81) and 248 (85-78-85), respectively.
The tournament, hosted by Michigan State at the Haig Point Club on Daufuskie Island, S.C., was won by South Carolina, who shot a 5-over 869 (300-280-289) to win by 37 strokes.
North Carolina Wilmington finished second with a 42-over 906 while Kennesaw State University rounded out the top three with a 45-over 909.
