BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--- The 2007 O'Reilly Ohio Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship will get underway on Sunday, April 22 at the Country Club of Paducah in Paducah, Ky. The three-day, 54-hole event will culminate with the crowning of this year's champion and recipient of an automatic berth into the NCAA Championship on Tuesday afternoon. The 10 OVC institutions that sponsor men's golf - Austin Peay, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, Murray State, Samford, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and UT Martin - will play a practice round on Saturday afternoon before getting official play underway on Sunday morning at 8 a.m. The 2007 Championship marks the fifth time the event has been at the Country Club of Paducah; five of the last six OVC Men's Golf Championships have been held at the course (excluding the 2005 tournament which was in Alabama). The course features 6,915 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and opened in 1965.
