TIGER GOLFERS FIGHT WINDY CONDITIONS; GRAB 16TH PLACE FINISH

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. --- After completing the final and most difficult round of the Samford Men's Intercollegiate on Tuesday, the TSU golf team finished in sixteenth place and carded a total score of 965. Fighting through the tough playing conditions, the Tigers managed a round of 43-over-par 331 in the final round. Adam Gruber led Tennessee State in round three with an 8-over-par 80 performance, giving him a tournament total of 12-over-par 228 and a tie for 35th place in the individual competition. Mark Gruber posted a final round of 7-over-par 79 in round three and wrapped up the tournament with a 28-over-par 244 for a tied 68th place finish. Chris Seibel finished tied for 71st with rounds of 85-77-83- 245 while Lawrence Larson carded three rounds of 78-81-89- 248 (T 74th). The Tigers will return to action on Thursday, March 29, when they travel to East Carolina.
