NASHVILLE---Sophomore Adam Gruber led the Tennessee State University men's golf team with a stroke average of 72.3 at the TSU Intercollegiate held this past Monday and Tuesday. Adam Gruber finished the tournament tied for third place with a 1-over-par 217. He carded scores of 73, 74 and 70. Gruber currently has a stroke average of 73.95 for the season and is in the top 30 in the OVC. Tennessee State finished the tournament in eighth place with a total score of 929. OVC opponent Murray State claimed first place in the tournament hosted by the Tigers while Evansville and Eastern Illinois captured the second and third spots. The Tigers will not return to action until the Conference tournament hosted by UT-Martin in Paducah, Kentucky, April 22- April 24.
