Flying Tigers Capture Ninth at Austin Peay

FINAL RESULTS

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. --- The Flying Tigers placed ninth in the four-mile race at the Austin Peay Cross Country Festival at the Hillsdale Baptist Family Life Center on Saturday.

Quamel Prince (Nashville, Tenn.) posted TSU's top time in 22:32 to earn 13th place. As a team, TSU took ninth place with 232 points. 

Freshman Zebedee Lunsford (Anniston, Ala.) earned second among TSU competitors in 25:11 for 65th overall place. 

TSU’s third-place finisher was Jontue McDowell (Jacksonville, Fla.) in 26:44 with Zyhir Baker-Elam (Philadelphia, Pa.) taking fourth among TSU runners in 28:04.

Tennessee State's next two were Quintsontro Irby, Jr. (Memphis, Tenn.) in 28:06 and Jamario Scott (Cincinnati, Ohio) in 28:22.

The Flying Tigers are back in action on Oct. 1 for the Louisville Sports Commission Sports Cross Country Classic.
