Collins Represents TSU in 2019 Coaches vs. Cancer Tipoff Reception

NASHVILLE --- For the second year in-a-row, Tennessee State men’s basketball Head Coach Brian ‘Penny’ Collins served as a special guest at The American Cancer Society’s Nashville Coaches vs Cancer Tip-Off Reception on Sept. 12 at the Music City Center.

The event brought together twelve men’s basketball coaches from the state of Tennessee to Nashville for a fundraiser for cancer research and awareness. The Coaches vs Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Collins and the other Tennessee coaches promoted giving to the American Cancer Society while ESPN's Sean Farnham interviewed the coaches on the upcoming season and their 2019-20 teams. The night included dinner and a live and silent auction.
