OPENING TIP: The Tennessee State men’s basketball team hosts Little Rock on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Gentry Center. The game marks the first home game of the season and the start of a busy week that includes three home games. TSU will also host Carver on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m. and Fisk on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT: Despite 26 points from Donte Fitzpatrick-Dorsey, TSU fell by an 86-79 final score in the Nov. 10 season opener at Lipscomb. In what was the first game in Brian “Penny” Collins’ TSU head coaching career, Kamar McKnight scored a career-high 19 points to go with 10 points from Jalen Duke.

ALL-TIME SERIES: TSU is 1-0 in the all-time series with Little Rock, defeating the Trojans 62-60 on Dec. 5, 1992 in Springfield, Mo. Carlos Rogers, who began his collegiate career at Little Rock, led the Tigers to a victory over his former team. Rogers ended up being a first-round pick in the 1994 NBA draft.  

ABOUT LITTLE ROCK: The Trojans are 1-0 on the season after defeating NCAA Division II opponent Southeastern Oklahoma State, 101-92, in the season opener. Former NBA player and Head Coach Darrell Walker is in his first season at the helm for Little Rock.  

TSU AT THE GENTRY CENTER: Tennessee State men’s basketball is 269-179 (.600) at the Gentry Center since the facility opened prior to the start of the 1980-81 season. Over the last three seasons, TSU is 27-13 (.675) in home games.
