TSU Basketball Holds Big Blue Madness

NASHVILLE --- In a celebration to kick off the 2018-19 season, the Tennessee State men’s and women’s basketball teams hosted Big Blue Madness at Kean Hall on Wednesday night. The event gave TSU students and fans their first look at this year’s basketball squads.

After players signed autographs, both the men’s and women’s players and staffs were introduced to the fans. The crowd enjoyed a three-point shooting contest won by Armani Chaney and a dunk contest won by Emmanuel Egbuta.

The celebrity judges for the dunk contest included Nashville's very own Starlito and Trapperman Dale, in addition to special guest James Shaw, Jr. - Waffle House Hero.

The TSU men’s basketball season begins with an Oct. 31 home exhibition game versus Tennessee Wesleyan, while the women’s season gets underway on Nov. 5 with an exhibition game at home against Cincinnati Christian.
