Collins to Participate in 2018 Coaches vs. Cancer Tip-Off Reception

EVENT INFORMATION

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State men’s basketball Head Coach Brian ‘Penny’ Collins will serve as a special guest at The American Cancer Society’s Nashville Coaches vs Cancer Tip-Off Reception on Sept. 20 at City Winery.

The event brings eight Division I men’s basketball coaches to Nashville for a fundraiser for cancer research and awareness. The Coaches vs Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

“I'm fully bought in to helping the American Cancer Society. They have my full support,” Collins said. “The research and awareness they bring to the world is priceless. I’m honored to be part of such a special event.”

Collins and the other coaches will speak about their teams and the upcoming 2018-19 season. The night also includes dinner and an auction.
