OVC Releases Preseason Poll

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference has released its preseason rankings as chosen by the conference’s coaches and SID’s on Tuesday.

The Tigers have been picked fifth in the OVC Eastern Division. This is the second year in a row that TSU has been picked in that spot.

The 2014-15 season will be a changing of the guard for the Tigers as brand new head coach Dana Ford takes the helm and will have 12 newcomers and a lone returner, Jay Harris, to work with. Harris is coming off his junior season where he averaged 7.4 points per game and 2.8 rebounds.

Murray State was pegged as the preseason favorite to win it all while Belmont was picked to win the Eastern Division.

TSU will get their first chance to disprove the rankings when they open their season on Nov. 14 at home against Reinhardt.
