Nashville, Tenn. - Coming off their first win of the season, the Tigers will look to add another when Tennessee State University plays Illinois State for the first of a three-game road swing.

The match-up will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Redbird Arena in Normal, Ill. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.

This will be the Tigers (1-1) first visit to Redbird Arena meeting the Redbirds (1-0) for the fourth time on the hardwood. TSU holds the series, 3-0, with the match-ups coming through regular season tournament play. The last meeting favored the Tigers, 87-86, on Dec. 10, 1966.

The Tigers are fresh off an 85-50 win over Fisk at home in which five players scored in double figures. Leading scorers, Kenny Moore (15.5 ppg) and Robert Covington (12.5 ppg), each registered a double-double.

Patrick Miller (14.5 ppg) has scored in double figures in each every game this season including exhibition play adding 16 points against Fisk.

TSU holds a slim 12-11 record when facing teams that are currently in the Missouri Valley Conference. The last team TSU played from the league was Southern Illinois resulting in an 83-60 loss in 2004.

The Redbirds opened their 2010-11 season earlier this week with a win over SIU Edwardsville, 92-64, on Nov. 14. Four players recorded double figures with Jackie Carmichael (18), Blake Mishler (18), Trey Blue (14) and Tony Lewis (10) each playing 20 minutes or more. ISU finished last season with a record of 22-11.

Next on the schedule, the Tigers will head straight to Colorado Springs, Colo. to play the United States Air Force Academy on Saturday, Nov. 20.
