TSU Basketball Begins Season with Big Blue Madness

Nashville, Tenn. - Tennessee State University fans can come help jump start the 2009-10 basketball season with Big Blue Madness.

The event is scheduled for Monday, November 2, with start time slated for 7 p.m inside the Gentry Center. 

Big Blue Madness, hosted by the TSU Student Union Board of Governors, will feature the Tigers and Lady Tigers basketball teams with brief introductions of the team players. Each team will play a 20-minute half with the Lady Tigers' tipping off at 7:20 p.m. followed by the Tigers' scrimmage starting at 8:10 p.m.

In addition, the Battle of the Residence Halls will take place between games with more than ten dance teams scheduled to perform. Also performing, will be the TSU Tiger Gems while fans can receive promotional giveaways courtesy of the Taco Bell Challenge.

The Tigers will play an exihibition game the following night versus Trevecca Nazarene (11/3) before opening the regular season against top ranked Siena (11/13). Both games will take place at the Gentry Center at 7:00 p.m. 

The Lady Tigers will take on Bluefield College in exhibition play and will host two regular season home games in November. The Lady Tigers will welcome Cumberland (11/25) and Lipscomb (11/28) at the Gentry Center with both match-ups slated for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
