Tigers Set to Face Kentucky State in Exhibition

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University men’s basketball team will play their final exhibition game when they host the Thorobreds of Kentucky State on Tuesday inside Gentry Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The Tigers opened the 2008-09 season last week when they defeated Trevecca Nazerene in exhibition play, 101-75.

Darius Cox led the the Tigers with 21 points (10-of-14) and 11 rebounds. Gerald Robinson, Jr. and Jerrell Houston each scored 20 points.

In his debut as a Tiger, freshman Parker Smith scored 17 points hitting 6-of-11 including 4-of-9 from three point range.

Fans can catch the game live on and (WTST).

The Tigers will open the regular season Friday against Cumberland University.
